Here is a quick write up w/ little commentary. This is a corollary to an earlier article. I wanted to see how differential backups are
affected by partitioning and read only. See
the comments to see where we are. If I
have time in the future I will try to hash it out but right now it is get it up
as this or don’t get it online at all.

The idea isn’t to run this whole block of code. Run it chunk by chunk and see what happens. Standard

I came across the same issue as you have posted in the msdn forum, but my TFS2008 app tier had an hardware failure so I am upgrading TFS2008 database backup to TFS2010 existing instance but it was taking more than 14 hours and after some time my desktop session has abruptly ended because of which my migration stopped at 179 of 230. However, my new collection has been created and I believe most of the data were available and also in the TFS administrator console, the collection status indicates successful upgrade. But the logs ended at 179 of 230, which indicates that there are still more left to migrate.
Could you please let me know what you have done with your situation in past?
Also, could you please let me know whether I can issue the same import command to continue my migration or is there any other command available to continue the migration from current state?
FYI - All TFS2008 database has been disappeared except TfsWarehouse database.
Imran, I don't have much more than what i posted there (and this was some time ago). as best I recall, running the full upgrade wizard, rather than tfs import worked wher the import command continued to hang.
